Tapo Canyon Park Arena

There will be a meeting regarding the remodeling of Tapo Canyon Park on Monday, September 11th, at 3:00 PM in the Atlantic Conference Room, 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura on the concept plan (alternative #4). It shows an Equestrian arena ( 125 X 250 feet ) at the far north end of the park with some parking below it. It's right next to the group camping area. I don't know if that's a good idea, but at least they are putting back one of the arena's. Our club held shows there many years ago. They had a smaller warm up arena and plenty of trailer parking.

The gal who is pushing for the arena's and equestrian use is Jennifer Grosskopf, 4880 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, CA 93063. She would appreciate any letters of support to be faxed to her at (805) 389-5485.

Please, do this if you can. All horse people need to stick together and help fight to maintain the equestrian life style.
