The April meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM, April 6, 2000. All board members were present. Directors at large, Kent and Melissa Lovelady, were also present.
OLD BUSINESS
It was suggested that we write letters as neighbors and residents expressing our concerns regarding the traffic and the disruption of our community as a result of a well-publicized rodeo, which was inaccurately managed.
MEMBERSHIP
As of this meeting, our membership has been increased by three.
TRAILS AND EVACUATION
Tama reported that for $5.00 per year, V.H.O.A. can belong to E.M.L.A., which is the emergency network of Los Angeles. A motion was made to join and seconded.
There will be a meeting of E.E.R.T., April 12, 10:00 at the Sylmar Chamber of Commerce concerning designated scenic preservation areas. If you have comments or concerns, call Diana at 818-756-9936.
NEW BUSINESS
The proposed RRL zoning in Los Virgenes and the Santa Monica Mountains and the dangerous precedent that it will present for horse keeping communities in LA County. V.H.O.A. will send out flyers to alert people.
V.H.O.A. will have its own WebPages soon. Our president, Carol Ford, will put her e-mail address in the newsletter.
Easter services on horseback: V.H.O.A. will support by donating supplies to the Rangers.
