The Hoof Beat February 2003

Comstock Homes will Impact Trail/Road Access for Three Months

Shadow Hills– Heavy equipment will be present on the dirt portion of McBroom until the end of January on week days from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM as Comstock Homes prepares the road bed for paving.

In about three weeks, the heavy equipment will be back again to dig up the road to put in sewers and drainage. Over the next three months they will be forming the bed of the road, putting in the sewer pipes and drainage, moving the telephone poles back from the road edge, enlarging the road width to 22 feet, and paving.

Please use care in riding to the tunnel on McBroom during this period as the landscape is under constant change. Comstock has posted the street during the hours they are using heavy equipment and requests riders East of McBroom to use the Wheatland entrance to the Hansen Dam.

For questions, comments or further information, Andy Byrne at Comstock Homes can be reached by email at abyrne@comstock-homes.com.

Seen above in the photograph from late January, land movers, bull dozers, and trucks reshape McBroom Street just East of the equestrian tunnel connecting Shadow Hills to the Hansen Dam.
