Pit Bull Attacks on Horses
By Lynn Brown Equestrian Trails Inc. Corral 38

Los Angeles--There have been several reported incidents of pit bull attacks in Griffith Park and other city parks. These attacks were from dogs that apparently had been dumped in the Park. The Rangers responded and with the help of Animal Services, captured the dog. Should this occur to you, or should you witness this, please first call the Griffith Park Rangers for help at (323) 913-7390. The Rangers will contact the proper authorities, whether it be Animal Services, the Police or the Fire Departments. ANY suspicious activities should be reported to the Rangers. We'd like to catch whomever is dumping these vicious dogs.

If you are riding in any City Park i.e. Hansen Dam, Chatsworth, Sunland/Tujunga etc. Please call (323) 913-7390. The Griffith Park Rangers are in charge of all City Parks. It is helpful to get the names of the Rangers who assist you, in order to follow up on the incident.
