Bales of Hay Have Done Little to Stifle Noise

Sun Valley—Equestrians and residents in the Stonehurst community of Sun Valley have grown completely frustrated by the failure of the Bradley Landfill to adequately stifle the noise coming from their electric generators and City officials to respond to their complaints. Homeowners complaining of the lack of sleep from months of unabated noise and vibrations went to the Daily News with their story this month in attempt to gain an effective response to the unrelenting noise they complained continued around the clock seven days a week. The experimental green site converting methane from garbage into electricity was placed on the residential side of the Landfill property where sound easily carried across the adjacent quarry from generators to homes.
