Hello, My name is Ryan Reynolds and I'm with the Student Conservation Association, a partner with the Angeles National Forest. I am currently working on a new program for the Angeles known as Adopt-A-Trail Camp. I am looking for groups, or individuals that would be interested in dedicating their time, perhaps one day a month, to act as caretakers for a specific camp. The work would include trash removal, cleaning fire pits, and keeping the Forest Service informed of any repairs the camp neds. In return for your commitment, a sign will be posted alongside the camp entrance, stating the name of the organization that has adopted the camp.
I would like to attend a meeting if you are interested in the program or think that members of the organization might be. There are 13 camps open for adoption and all are located in the mountains north of AltaDena. Many of the camps are horse friendly and have hitching rails in the campground.
