The proposal for the Bradley landfill expansion in Sun Valley includes a huge height increase as well as an addition of a materials recovery facility and trash transfer station. According to Cynthia Despres many local residents are opposed to this proposal and concerned about the potential harmful effects to air and groundwater. Sun Valley was recently declared an environmental justice zone because of its present condition--it’s a cesspool.
